Sándorfalva doesn’t have great historical traditions dating back to the middle ages. But since its foundation a hundredyears ago the families who settled here and the Palaviccini Family have acquired a rich intellectual as well as cultural heritage which give an excellent opportunity to connect Sándorfalva to the settlements of the South Plan region that can offer beautiful tourist attractions.

In the center of the city Pallavicini Castle and Budai Sándor Memorial House stand, which are suitable for making a complex, visitor-friendly ethnographic and local history exhibitions. The two places together constitute an elemental unit.

In the rooms of the castle permanent and temporary exhibitions are held, which guarantee a place for the display of souvenirs, furnitures and documents donated by the Pallavicini Family.

In one of the rooms of the Castle we are displaying the paintings of Budai Sándor, which represent the elements of folklife.

The project realizes such modern meeting places, in which people learn and acquire the values of the past while having fun.
